Bye, Bye September, October's Almost Here

Let's begin with a big Welcome to our new readers! We cannot begin to tell you how it feels to hear that you are reading and following our journey to the stage. We are thrilled.

It's the end of September and October is upon us and we are filled with excitement. We are spreading the word and telling everyone we meet that the journey is on it's way to the stage. With all the Hear Ye's! we are working on the behind the scenes issues. The best thing is that The Team is focused.

Needless to say, The Cast is honing in on their characters and will give you the very best of each journey.

And in midst of it all, we have so many talented cast members one most recently - Lindsay Bernstein has a play of her own No Boys Allowed which The Team went out to see. We were so proud of her production and know that you may one day hear of her future productions. We are a cheer leading supportive force.

Speaking of incredible performances, we had quite an awesome experience at Greater Faith Temple The Movement's Mass Choir Celebration. It was a sold out event with about 1,000 attendees and it was noted that over hundred people were turned away. That's too bad as it was filled with greatness - Karen Clark Sheard and other well known Gospel Artists. Pastor Michel White Haynes directed and sang with a dynamic voice that brought the audience to their feet. It's the place to go for a good hand clapping feet stomping, grand ole' time. We danced the whole night.

So with all the extremely talented cast members, you know that you are in for a treat. It's about the journey, it's about the awareness, it's about being a part of something that has affected us all and we want to do something about it.

Our Stage Manager means business and she is keeping an eye on the task ahead.

Our director is on duty working it out - just for you.

While we are thrilled to have you follow and share our blog, we don't want you to miss out on sharing the journey with us. Get your tickets now! Go on and meet The Cast.

At the end of the rehearsal, we all sang Happy Birthday to Zelda our youngest member of The Cast.

Bye, Bye September, October 15, 16 and 22nd is almost here!

The Week In Review

The Team wants to make sure that we say Thank You! We are busy promoting, promoting and promoting and we see that others are too. How can you beat that?!!!We are very happy that you are excited along with us and that you are spreading the word that the tickets are available.

With all that we have on our list of things to do, we make sure that we venture out to see what our cast members are doing, can you say - we're so proud of them. Our cast is filled with talented triple threats and we love it. Tara sang this week at the Ace of Clubs this past Wednesday. What a treat it was for us to enjoy an evening of good music and dancing in the city.

Tara sang her heart out to a very happy audience.

Forget the triple threat, actress, dancer, singer and musician ;-)

Hollywood!Hollywood! Wow!!!! Rebecca gave an outstanding performance in this lively musical. She sang, danced and was as sassy as can be - she was amazing.

So enough of our gallivanting to the other performances especially when we have an upcoming journey to share with you. The days to the performances are rapidly approaching and everyone's preparing just for you.

What a busy week we've had but we're focused. We are still receiving emails from those who are touched by our upcoming journey and they are sharing on Twitter, Facebook, etc. We invite everyone we meet to our show and surprisingly, we have heard stories from strangers on the street who have also shared their own personal connections with cancer - this is a show you don't want to miss. Tell your family, friends, co workers and your online social network buddies. By the way, did you get your tickets? You would feel really left out if you don't do it soon.

Until next post..........we're getting it right just for you.

Sherrie's thoughts

Hi Blog Readers,

I am Sherrie, a character in "The Day That Changed My Life". I love working with the cast and the Aldrich family! Cancer must be hard on little kids. I'm not sick, but my father in the play is. It's hard for me to understand. Does anyone have any idea how I should feel?

It's Time - Our Time

Well, we are so excited and so happy that we can't wait to tell you the fabulous news, you have been asking so here it comes tickets are available online!

September has been quite a month for us, it is a month that highlights various types of cancer awareness campaigns: Childhood Cancer, Leukemia and Lymphoma, Ovarian, Prostate and recently the Stand Up to Cancer Campaign brought various celebrities and notable television anchors together to raise awareness and funds to fight this disease. This journey has not come without it's share of challenges but The Team has had to work very closely to pull things together and we've haven't missed a beat.

The Day That Changed My Life explores the various journeys of those whose lives have been touched by cancer. We are right in the thick of things. We have a cast who has intimate knowledge of the disease and can translate that connection to the stage. It's our time to step forward and deliver.

Keeping in mind that we have received many comments and responses from our readers, we know that you too have an interest in this journey. The Cast is making sure that you will not only watch the journey but become a part of understanding and connecting with each character.

Tara is in her space, her journey is one that will touch you.

Our director is on top of things keeping it all together.

And the journey to the stage continues.... Hurry! Get your tickets before they are all gone - you don't want to miss this.

Check out Sherrie's thoughts share your comments with her, and be sure to share it on your social network sites as well, she would love to hear from you.

Labor of Labor Day Weekend!

Our cast was off this weekend with the option to come in and work on their roles and they did. We want them to enjoy their time off but of course, it's also about delivering you the best journey ever.

The Team on the other hand was on duty - full time. We really enjoy what we do as this journey is a labor of love that means so much to us. We are busy behind the curtain getting things in place with our stage manager and other cast members who are eager to get to show you their work of art.

As I mentioned in our last blog, the tickets will be coming soon. Many inquiries have come in and we are pleased to announce that our tickets will be available for purchase on line this week. So tell your family, friends and everyone else all about it. With the interest we have received, we want you to be on board to get your ticket before it's sold out ;-)

With flowers in hand, we Thank You all for your kind comments, your shares on Face Book and Twitter, your stories and your interest in every way - we appreciate you!
